History of the Valdes Island Conservancy

Picture
The Valdes Island Conservancy was founded on the beaches of the island on the Sunday of the BC Day long weekend in 2007. Our goal is to conserve and protect the existing biological and cultural communities of Valdes Island and its environs.

"There are no words that can tell the hidden spirit of the wilderness that can reveal its mystery, its melancholy, and its charm."

— Theodore Roosevelt

The Valdes Island Conservancy is now a Registered Charity! Please consider donating! Your contributions help fund all of our projects, and are an integral part of elevating the Conservancy to higher status with regional and provincial governments.
